To me, the Paso Fino horse is the most awesome and majestic of the breeds. Aside from the obvious qualities of their beauty and smooth gait there is much, much more. The Paso Fino has a presence and intelligence that I don't always see in other breeds. They have a sensitivity and heart that goes beyond the ordinary. A Paso is a horse you can bond with, they really want to please and be on your team and they try hard to
understand what we humans want of them.
Sometimes they may try too hard. They are a proud breed and cannot help but stand out in a crowd no matter what their color. As a highly intelligent horse, they love to work and like new challenges. They are sturdy and tough and will go the distance for us when we ask. There is nothing like the ride and other gaited breeds occasionally out-cross breed to the Paso to insure their own gait. A real endorsement to our strong natural gait! With certain obvious limitations, a Paso Fino can do almost any equine sport, if we try, it is truly a versatile breed.
